MSA helped enhance the Marker through our fire engineering services. We helped construct its rooftop bar and ensure its viability with regards to fire safety. This included doing a fire engineering analysis on the structural steel of the Marker’s roof. MSA also performed an escape analysis for the bar, which revealed a fire safety challenge for us to overcome. We could only have one set of stairs linking the bar to the rest of the hotel, which didn’t meet code requirements. As a result of this, we developed an innovative solution that give people an alternative way of getting off the roof.
